Satellite Event on Innovation & Entrepreneurship
IEEE BIBE 2013 organizing committee, in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the National Technical University of Athens, is pleased to announce the organization of a satellite event on “Inspiring and enabling entrepreneurship – Bridging the gap between the lab and the marketplace”.
The main aim of the event is to instill an entrepreneurial spirit to the participants and support innovative business ideas by covering the principles of entrepreneurship and aspects of mentoring and assisting start-ups. The event consists of three parts:
- A short seminar on the specific steps needed to start a new business (Identification and evaluation of market opportunities for a new-start-up, Development of a successful business plan, Funding options).
- A panel discussion with expert presentations on specific topics and information related to knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship.
- Individualized coaching sessions.
The first two parts will be open to all participants of the conference, while individualized coaching sessions will be offered to selected researchers / research teams. More details on individualized coaching sessions and the selection process are provided here
The participation in the Satellite Event will be free of charge (i.e. included in the regular registration fee of the conference).
